A small collection of hand thrown serving dish with pigment from clay found in Singapore sites. The clay is mixed with porcelain, giving it the plasticity to take form. The 2017 works feature clay from Newton, Jurong, Yishun and Kota Tinggi (Malaysia). Each dish has an additional loop attached at the rim for hanging on kitchen shelf.
All works are functional and food safe. Both Jurong & Yishun ceramic wares are ideal for dry and liquid food. Due to the big minerals found in Newton & Kota Tinggi clay, the wares are more suitable for serving dry food such as cookies or for use as a jewellery dish.
Not microwave safe. Hand wash recommended. Due to its handmade nature, vessel will vary slightly in dimension and glaze detail from each another.
